PAT Tester calibration is essential to ensure that your PAT Tester is measuring accurately and giving accurate results. If you do any testing and your PAT Tester does not have a valid calibration certificate. The tests are considered void. All PAT Testers need to be calibrated!
We calibrate all Parker Bell PB500, PAC 500 Sp or XP machines. We also Calibrate the Seaward Primestest 100, Primetest 50. Ethos 9125 & 9100 machines.
Calibration is straightforward. If you are already our customer, you will receive a reminder in the post a month before calibration is due. You don’t need to be our customer already though. All you need to do is either give us a call on 01392 364933 or complete our online calibration order form BOOK CALIBRATION
First of all, we give it a good clean. Then we check whether or not it is working correctly. We do this by carrying out a wide array of tests to ensure the correct outcome is given. The machine is then attached to the calibration rig which will check and make any adjustments to ensure your machine is working correctly. The machine is then calibrated.
If the PAT Tester fails any of the tests, or the calibration itself. We will attempt to repair the PAT Tester. Often for example batteries left in the PAT Tester when not in use; will leak. We will clean the inside of the PAT Tester in a bid to ensure that there is no lasting damage. However; on occasion, the leakage has gone through to the printed circuit board which is located behind the compartment. We cannot repair this, and so we have to send the PAT Tester back to Seaward for a full repair.
The calibration costs £77.40 (Incl Vat) for collection and re-delivery to the UK (Excluding Islands and Highlands) Customers we are not able to collect from are asked to send the PAT Tester to us using the Royal Mail. They will be charge £67.20 (Incl Vat)
When we return the PAT Tester to you it will come in a white box. Inside the box will be a documents envelope which contains instruction for how to return the PAT Tester to us the following year. You simply need to retain the box, and inside the envelope is Plastic courier bag for you to use for next years calibration.
